It was a teriffic Tuesday filled with a full day of classes, swim and sports. Maestro Khoren arrived last night and the campers were overjoyed with his instruction in heritage class today. They learned the Mer Hayrenik and other Armenian folk songs. Fr. Tadeos Barseghyan taught religion today and introduced this year’s curriculum which focuses on the lifes of the saints. Fr. Abraham Ohanessian, Yn. Shakeh Ohannesian and Levon Asadourian continued teaching the Armenian alphabet in Armenian Language classes today, and focused on the letters “eh” and “uht”. In Arts and Crafts today our teachers Melissa Mardoian and Angela Palaian led us in a project to help us leave our “footprints” on Hye Camp. We were so thankful that the rain held out until late afternoon. Due to the inclement weather we chose to postpone our scheduled evening scavenger hunt and watched a movie. We ended the night with a prayer before heading back to our cabins for a good night’s sleep.
