The sun was beaming today, but the heat didn’t get our spirits down! The staff made sure that the campers were sun-screened, bug-sprayed and kept in the shade. We cut sports short and gave the campers an extended swim time. Today we had a visit from the Primate of our Diocese, Khajag Surpazan, and the campers enjoyed asking him questions as well as answering his question of what the importance is of being a Christian. Tonight we had a side-splitting evening program where a group of staff members performed in various improv (improvised acting) scenarios. The campers watched on as they pretended to be an injured McDonald’s employee, a frantic mother driving a clown car, a popular country musician and a disgruntled ice cream shop owner. Everyone was laughing until they had tears in their eyes!
