Today was the start to a new session and everyone was excited. We are pleased to welcome our new camp director for session B, Fr. Vart Gyozalyan and his family. This session is at full capacity and completely sold out. There were a few staff members who stayed on from session A, along with a camper or two who welcomed in all of the new campers, CITs and staff. After registration early this afternoon we held a parent orientation for parents who wanted to hear about camp, what it would be like, and what their campers would be experiencing. While that was going on all the campers got into their counselor groups and did some icebreakers to get to know one another. Following that the campers got to say one last good-bye to their families and then there was a camper orientation for “The Day in the Life of a Camper.” They got a chance to meet all of the CITs and staff and then find out what a day at camp would be like. Thankfully the rain held off until after everyone was able to take their swim test. As an evening activity everyone got the chance to participate in icebreakers to get to know all of the other people in the same age group. Looking forward to tomorrow hoping to make more friends and have even more fun.
