We have come to the end of the first week of camp. Today there were nine campers that unfortunately left us, but on a positive note eight campers decided to stay on for a second week. In light of it being Saturday the day’s schedule was lighter and more laid back. To start the wake up time was pushed back an hour to 8:30. So after chapel, flagpole and breakfast we had a big group photo with all of the campers leaving wearing their camp shirts. Then we had a short closing program just to tell the parent what we did during the week and told them how much fun we had; we even had a slideshow with many of the pictures from the week. The one week campers then left right before lunch. After lunch there was a camp wide game of capture the flag; and since there was time we were able to get a few games in. Following that, in order to cool off, everyone got to go swimming. To end the day everyone got to do tie-dye a draw string bag and then attend a campfire. Tomorrow we are looking forward to another sunny day at St. Vartan Camp!
