It was such a beautiful day today! The rain cooled the weather down incredibly, and we enjoyed a lot of sunshine and a great breeze. This week, the junior and the teen schedule switched, so juniors had sports and swim in the morning and the teens went off to classes. Zaven took advantage of the gorgeous day and had the campers adorn the driveway of the campus with chalk art. Our Armenian language instructor, Bedig Bozikian, has been teaching the alphabet to the campers, and they are picking up on it very quickly. Today we welcomed back Maestro Khoren Mekanejian, and he will be teaching Armenian music for heritage class this week. We also welcomed Der Shnork Souin from Providence, RI and Deacon Justin Ajamian from Dallas, TX, as well as his wife Hasmik and their daughter Noelle. We had such a fun and creative evening activity tonight. Each counselor group was given a bag with five random objects in it, and they had to make up a skit using all of the objects. The results were hilarious, and the youngest junior boys’ skit involving a flying “Lint-Man” took home first place!
