Today was a beautiful day and along with the beautiful came Maestro Khoren Mekanejian. Maestro joined us this morning from the Diocese to teach Heritage classes for a few days this week. Along with Maestro’s arrival everyone got into the swing of classes; which juniors had in the morning and teens had in the afternoon. This morning while juniors had classes teens had sports and then swim. For sports our athletics director Greg Dorian introduced a new game that combined capture the flag and dodge ball. All of the campers loved the game, teens and juniors alike. In the afternoon everyone switched so juniors had sports and swim while the teens were in classes. Our day ended with an activity that had everyone-CITs, campers and staff-finding their favorite quote(s) from the bible and, with washable marker, had someone write the quote somewhere on their body. Everyone then got a chance to share their quote with everyone else and got their picture taken with that quote visible. Now that day one is done everyone is hoping day two will be just as fun.
