On Thursday, July 30, 24 staff and 33 CITs gathered from around the Diocese for a three day training session prior to the arrival of their campers. During this training, the CITs and Staff worked together to prepare themselves for their leadership role at Hye Camp. Each morning, the staff and CITs gathered in the chapel for morning service and bible study to help prepare themselves spiritually for their upcoming responsibilities. They discussed putting the campers before themselves, as well as using their strengths to help make the camp experience as positive as possible. They discussed the importance of creating a family atmosphere, at Hye Camp and creating a positive camp experience for every participant. On the morning the campers arrived, al of the CITs and gathered in the chapel for Divine Liturgy. Fr. Aren Jebejian, the Hye Camp DIrector was the celebrant. During his sermon, Fr. Aren expressed his excitement, as well as his confidence in this year’s Hye Camp staff and CITs and spoke about the importance of being Christian role models.
