This morning began with the celebration of the Divine Liturgy in our chapel. It truly was a joyous occasion as all voices came together in worship, from the young men serving as deacons to the entire congregation singing the hymns of the Badarak. Afterwards, we had brunch and then began Day 2 of the Olympics. Today’s events consisted of a big a relay race that was held throughout the entire campus, including activities such as basketball and soccer shootouts, potato sack and wheelbarrel races, leap frog, swimming, and more! The Red team prevailed as the winners of the SVC Session C Olympics. Following the Olympics was the Staff vs. CIT Dodgeball game. The campers cheered on the sidelines and were the officials for the game. The game ended in a 1-1 tie with the deciding game tentatively scheduled to happen within the next week. The evening ended with a camp-wide campfire including smores, stories, and games. It was a great weekend full of activities and fun for the entire camp with beautiful weather to help us through. Everyone is excited for the next week to come!
