Today, our morning service message was delivered by Hayr Aren and he talked to us about God’s constant relevance and role in our lives. We were reminded of the importance of prayer, faith, and building relationships. We had fun in all of our classes today! In Arts & Crafts, we wrote prayers on wooden prayer blocks and painted crosses on them. In religion class, we talked about the history of the book of Psalms and how it correlates with the Divine Liturgy of the Armenian Church. Today was our last day of singing with Maestro Khoren in Armenian Heritage before we said goodbye until next year. After lunch, we transitioned to sports/swim and both went smoothly as usual. We had some cabin group time before dinner which we spent practicing for tonight’s “Airband” program. Each cabin received a genre of music with a 4-minute mashup of songs from that genre and choreographed a dance to it! We also had some solo acts of singing and dancing (and rapping!), and everyone enjoyed watching the camp community come together to put on an awesome show. We all headed back to the Main Lodge for a snack and Hayr Aren closed the night with a simple but powerful message about us being made in God’s perfect image. Although our flaws may be noticeable, and even seem plentiful at times, the abundance of God’s love and wisdom will always shine.
