Since it was the last day for many campers, today had the main event: the dance. In the afternoon, juniors were in classes learning eagerly while teens played sports and went to swim in the sun. After lunch, the teens and juniors swapped as teens attended class and juniors got ready for sports and swim. Today was also special because it was the day of Kebob dinner and blessing of the grapes! While walking back from the pool, the smell of grilled kebob made everyone extra hungry for dinner, which was delicious. Fr. Aren, Fr. Tadeos, Fr. Abraham, and Johnny carried out the ceremony of blessing of the grapes in the lodge right before we had delicious kebobs and tasty pilaf. After dinner, kids had some time to get ready for the dance. Everyone arrived at the lodge dressed in their best and got ready to dance! The band played loud as the shoorj bar got longer by the second. By the end of the night, everyone was danced out and ready for bed. The teens got a little more time to spend the night together before heading to bed. Overall, it was a day filled with Armenian heritage and exciting events.
