Today was the first full day of the 2011 camp season. We began our day as we do every day with chapel and then headed to the flagpole to get our day started. The weather was incredible today and the campers were able to enjoy many outdoor activities. The camp director, Fr. Krikor Sabounjian, led the religion class. Campers also went to Armenian Language, Culture and Heritage, and Arts and Crafts as they rotated through their daily classes. In sports, the athletics director, Vahe Hakobyan, led the campers in dodgeball and then our lifeguards welcomed the campers into the pool for a refreshing swim. During tonight’s evening program the entire camp was divided up into small groups and given a bag of random props to create a funny and meaningful skit about Easter. It was a great activity, which inspired many laughs. We ended the day with chapel before heading to bed for a good night’s rest.
