Opening Day at Hye Camp was a great success with the arrival of close to 200 campers, CITs and Staff. We welcomed all of the campers and their families with an opening prayer and a group barbecue. Later that evening, after we said our goodbyes to our families, all campers, CITs and Staff members got to know each other through icebreakers during cabin group time. Throughout the campgrounds you could hear the sounds of all the children having fun and meeting new friends. For an evening activity, all the CITs and Staff members performed hilarious skits illustrating what a typical day in the life of a Hye Camper is like. After evening service, the campers returned to their cabins for bed, excited for the week ahead!
