Today was the first full day of classes and activities, and also the day of Srpazan’s visit. He led morning prayer, and spoke about the immense Armenian influence and presence in Jerusalem. After the service, teens, ages thirteen, fourteen, and fifteen, headed to sports then swimming, while the younger kids rotated through their four daily classes. The classes include Religion, Armenian Language, Heritage (Armenian dancing and singing) and Arts & Crafts. For lunch we enjoyed sloppy joes. After lunch, the teens headed to class, while the juniors participated in sports and swimming. After some free time, dinner was served. Then the evening activities began. While the juniors sang and danced with Maestro Khoren, the teens ran around the campus for the exciting scavenger hunt. They then switched events, and later all met at the main lodge for a refreshing snack of watermelon. The day concluded with evening prayer as the campers headed to bed to rest up for Tuesday!
