On our first full day of camp we didn’t skip a beat, jumping right into our daily routine.  We started our day with a hearty breakfast before heading to chapel.  During morning service, Der Vasken gave a sermon surrounding the term “G.O.A.T.” or “Greatest Of All Time”, emphasizing that every individual has an innate capacity for greatness, regardless of their talents or outward abilities.  We then headed to flagpole where we gathered to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and Mer Hyrenik.  Juniors attended classes in the morning; they participated in some ice breakers and reviewed the Code of Christian Conduct during religion, were led in an Armenian language lesson by Deacon Tim, and enjoyed making gimp and friendship bracelets during arts and crafts.  At the same time, sports directors led the teens in an action-packed game of line basketball, after which the campers had their first swim time of the session.  In the afternoon, we had an interactive, camp-wide game of Rocks, Paper, Scissors during Special Programming.  As a group bonding exercise, counselor groups came up with a 30-second skit and group name, which they presented to everyone during evening program.  Session C is off to a great start, and we look forward to making many more memories within the next two weeks!
