Session A of the 2014 camp season is officially in full swing! After an evening of ice breakers and games on Sunday night, everyone had an opportunity to get to know one another. We had a full day of fun and activities today as the campers started the week headstrong. It was not just a day full of enjoyment for our campers, but also for out new camp director for Session A, Fr. Khatchatur Kesablyan who hails from Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church in Chelmsford, MA. We started the day with morning Chapel led by Fr. Khatchatur. Afterwards everyone got together around the flag pole to do morning stretches. Breakfast followed, which was prepared by our new chef, Paul Ventura, whom we welcomed with open arms. Following breakfast, our campers began their classes in Religion, Culture and Heritage, Armenian Language, and Arts & Crafts. After lunch the campers got active and played basketball for sports and got a chance to jump in our brand new pool! There was group time for the campers, CITs and counselors to get to know one another better before dinner. When dinner was through the entire camp gathered for the evening activity where each counselor group created a group name, banner and chant. They were then presented to the entire camp and staff. Our very busy day ended with a snack and evening vespers.
