Today was one of the highlights of Hye Camp because today was the day of the Talent Show. During the day the campers went to their usual classes but had plenty of time to rehearse for the show. After a long day of activity we were treated to a traditional Armenian dinner. The campers left the dinner line with full plates containing Shish Kebab, pilaf, salad, and dessert. After dinner, we headed over to the chapel to begin the Talent show. There were over 20 acts including one group skit from each cabin. The cabin skits are great ways to get everyone in the cabins working together and being creative. Some campers prepared weeks in advance trying to come up with ideas for the show. Along with the cabin skits, there were a couple extra acts by campers who wanted to show off their unique talents, such as singing, reciting an Armenian poem, traditional Armenian dancing, and dance acts, including one hilarious routine by 4 of our male counselors. The evening came to an end after a quick snack in the lodge. The campers returned to their cabins excited from the great talent show, but sad that tomorrow was their last full day.
