The campers were blessed to have Archbishop Khajag Barsamian join them at camp today. The Primate had an opportunity to observe the four daily classes; Armenian, Religion, Culture & Heritage and Arts & Crafts. In addition, the camp community enjoyed listening to the Primate respond to their inquisitive questions, as he shared some personal stories about his life as a priest. Later that evening, the campers had a wonderful delicious Armenian meal of shish kebab, pilaf, salad and pita that was sponsored and prepared by the Knights and Daughters of Vartan. After dinner, the campers gathered as cabins to participate in a campwide competition called “The Human Race.” We have great photos that captured the creativity and teamwork from each of the groups. The night ended with a campfire and s’mores.
