The goal of Hye Camp is to bring together children of Armenian heritage, in a Christian family atmosphere, where they can experience friendship and fellowship, participate in athletic activities and learn the history, culture, and faith of the Armenian Church.
Hye Camp is a unique, Christian-based youth camp for Armenian children 8 to 15 years of age who want to learn more about their heritage and the teachings of the Armenian Church. The program includes a variety of educational and fun activities.
Through the leadership of caring and concerned clergy, staff, parents, and teachers, Hye Camp promotes the Christian values of good character, responsibility, and sportsmanship.
Lifelong friendships are created by the bonding among campers during daily worship as well as classes in culture, religion, sports, arts and crafts, and swimming.
The camp is located at: 26202 W. Nippersink Rd. in Ingelside, IL. V. Rev. Fr. Aren Jebejian is camp director. Click here for application materials.

Hye Camp Program Highlights
Various arts and craft projects, using a variety of mediums, will be available to campers in conjunction to the year’s theme. Campers will also gain an appreciation of the richness of our Armenian heritage through instruction in Armenian history, music, language, dancing, and cooking.
Diocesan clergymen lead religion classes during Hye Camp. Campers will be spiritually and morally enriched through discussion opportunities. Campers are always encouraged to ask questions and learn the teachings of Christ and the Armenian Church.
Campers will participate on “Olympic” teams competing in various sports, such as capture the flag, volleyball, checkers, backgammon, soccer, softball, and swimming. Certified lifeguards are always on duty during the use of the outdoor pool. Please note that all females are required to wear a modest one-piece bathing suits.
