Monday at Hye Camp marked the start of our campers’ classes in arts and crafts, Armenian heritage and culture, and religion in addition to daily sports and swimming sessions. During arts and crafts classes, we learned how to make friendship bracelets and lanyards and started creating our own pieces. We can’t wait to share them with our friends and family when we get home! Armenian culture classes were a moving time…literally! Our Armenian dance teacher taught us different classical Armenian dances that we practiced throughout the morning and afternoon.

After dinner, campers participated in the CIT Scavenger Hunt where a good time was had by all. The evening activity ended with a huge water fight amongst the campers and counselors in the field. After drying off from the fun, our W-HYE news team relayed the day’s “top stories” from all the cabins. Today may have been a long day, but it was a fun one that we certainly enjoyed!
