This morning we welcomed Fr. Hakob Gevorgyan and his family from the Holy Trinity Armenian Church in Cheltenham, PA. We did unfortunately have to say a quick goodbye to Fr. Abraham and Maestro Khoren after classes this morning. Archbishop Khajag Barsamian, our Diocesan Primate, spent the entire afternoon and evening with us. he did join us for an outdoor dinner and really interacted with some of the campers during dinner. After a shortened sports and swim, everyone gathered in the rec hall to have a question and answer session with Srpazan and share with him about our time at camp. The kids really enjoyed having him here and just being able to talk with him. Afterwards we took a group photo and prepared for the much anticipated CIT Hunt followed by an outdoor dinner. After our busy day of comings and goings, the oldest teens took charge and ran the evening activity, titled “Are You Smarter than an SVC Counselor?!”It was nice way to get all of the kids involved, thinking, and working with their CITs. After the evening program, the camp enjoyed a delicious cake prepared by Chef Paul in honor of Jennifer’s birthday. We are all hoping that tomorrow will be another great day.
